Abstract

Meso- and microstructural analysis integrated with mineral chemical and radiometric data reveal the existence of two different tectonometamorphic units within the structural stack of the Shuswap metamorphic complex, during the development of the transposition regional fabric. One comprises the northwestern edge of the Thor-Odin dome. The other the Joss Mountain domain of the Selkirk allochthon. Both units were exhumed under a high thermal regime compatible with lithospheric thinning, and preserve contrasting histories predating the Cordilleran transposition.
