Abstract
Terche River basin is 45 km2 wide on left side of Belluno valley. Here there are Pleistocene glacial morphologies and deposits attributed to the Piave glacier. Above an ancient lodgement till dated 100,000 ± 30,000 years there are some moraines up to 1000 m above sea level, that represent the Last Glacial Maximum (LGM) dated 19,700±3,000 years. Above these, it is possible to recognize five phases of glacial regression: the first one at elevation of 800, the second one at 750 m, the third one at 600-500 m asl, the fourth one at 550 - 300 m asl and last one at 350-300 m asl. These phases can be correlated with nearest zone of Vittorio Veneto and Soligo Valley and farther zone like Adige Valley and Brenta Basin.
