Abstract
In this paper a short overview of the effects caused by First World War on wild plants of Trentino is given. Besides general consequences on vegetation, effects on flora are focused. On the basis of ancient publications and herbaria, a list of plants imported as consequence of first world war is presented. Moreover, it is hypothesized that some occurrences of mainly rare plants recently found in the area of line front are consequence of dispersion of hay carried by cableways for the supply of pack animals. Such witness of the war should be protected.
